DOES CIAI TAKE NON-MEDICAL VOLUNTEERS?

We accept non-medical volunteers to:

  • Help in the pharmacy
  • Assist nurses giving treatments
  • Give out reading glasses
  • Help the dental clinic
  • Work with the rice distribution
  • Transportation
  • Video and Photography
  • Soup Kitchen
  • Toys Distribution
  • Distribution of Meals for Volunteers
  • Entertainment
  • Public Relations
  • Support Services
  • Rice Distribution

 

WHAT DOCUMENTS MUST I SEND TO JOIN THE MEDICAL MISSION?

  1. Curriculum Vitae
  2. Survey Form
  3. Release and Waiver of Liability Form
  4. Copy of Medical practicing license

 

WHAT ARE THE EXPENSES?

 
Volunteers are responsible for:

  • All Flights – international and domestic
  • Hotel Accommodations

Additional expenses:

  • In-country airport departure tax (if applicable) 
  • Junk food and “sodas”
  • Internet use and/or cell phones
  • Meals at restaurants
  • Gratuities 

 

WHAT DO I DO IF I AM TRAVELING BY MYSELF?

CIAI will assign a volunteer who will meet you at the airport when you arrive and take you back to the airport for your departure.

We suggest that you join our group leaving from Las Vegas, Nevada. Travel arrangements are made by A&A Travel Service. Please call Mark Bunggay at 702-309-8888 for other travel inquiries.

 

DO I NEED A TRAVELLER’S VISA?

Ask your Travel Agency when you purchase your ticket.

 

WHAT IMMUNIZATIONS DO I NEED?

Please visit your local health clinic for a complete list of recommended immunizations.

ARE THE MEDICAL MISSIONS SAFE?

  • The Medical Mission is held at the Eastern Bicol Medical Center and located in politically safe environment
  • Bottled Waters are available
  • Local cooks follow North American hygiene standards
  • No extreme-sports activities
  • Always travel in groups
